Test Session Transcripts

HIV Test Counselors are trained with little guidance on standards. Fictional roleplays offer only stereotyped clients that have little resemblance to reality. The next best thing to sitting in with someone is to study video or audio trancripts of actual sessions. These allow us to understand our own styles as we observe and react to other counselors ' strategies. What would you have done differently in these sessions? These sessions were recorded a long time ago at an anonymous test clinic. They are neither good nor bad sessions, but help to illustrate the different styles counselors use. All identifying information has been deleted or altered for confidentiality.
